A CHANCE TO GO BACK
If we aren’t encouraging the next generation to walk in relationship with Jesus, then what are we modeling for them? Students have a lot of options and not enough time for each of them. SWAT wants to equip others to make disciples with the time they have been given. We use discipleship and leadership tools to model for the next generation a daily relationship with Christ. We believe that if our faith isn’t real in our own lives, we can’t lead others to be real in their faith.
Trying to figure out everything alone is exhausting and difficult, especially at a young age. It’s the same thing for all of us spiritually. We need to surround ourselves with others of like mind to challenge and encourage us in our faith. All of our events help one generation go back and tell the next generation what they wish they would have known. Each stage of life is new to all of us. Having someone who’s been there to walk through it with you doesn’t make it easier, but it does help us understand that we aren’t alone.
DISCIPLE NOW
True disciples make other disciples.
A Disciple Now weekend is a Friday-Sunday event. It focuses on helping middle & high school students recognize that God is the answer to their purpose. There are so many things being thrown at them every day and being rooted in truth gives them the opportunity to stand firm. The most effective time of Disciple Now is when SWAT leaders are getting to spend intentional time with students going through the Word.
DISCIPLE NEXT
You can’t take others somewhere you haven’t been yourself.
A passion for leading students is important but it isn’t the only thing needed. Disciple Next is a one day event for small group leaders in the local church. We want to equip small group leaders to better connect, facilitate and disciple the students they have been trusted to develop. It starts with a growing faith of their own and out of that overflow comes a building up of faith in others.
CULTIVATE
Great leaders aren’t just born; they’re developed.
Most leaders can look back at their life and remember someone who believed in them. Someone who recognized something in us that could be used to bring value. Cultivate is an annual weekend for high school students to understand what it means to be a leader. Throughout the weekend we will focus on different aspects of leadership excellence for students to learn and implement in their communities. Each of us has a unique set of talents that can be leveraged to influence those around us.
RECHARGE
Leading on empty isn’t leading. It’s just living with a title.
Youth pastors have a lot on their plates in youth ministry. They are discipling students, teaching small group leaders, communicating with parents, and planning multiple events and most of the time they are doing it without much help. They can get lost in the doing and forget about the being. Each ReCharge event will encourage youth pastors and show them their value and the value they bring to each student’s life. Being in God’s presence is most important and that requires taking some to rest.
Take Part IN the CHANGE
We want to see the next generation in a daily relationship with Jesus. Through all of our events we invest in others to see our mission accomplished. Your time might be limited but your passion for the next generation is at an all time high. If you want to make a difference in the lives of youth and young adults, conisider investing in SWAT.
We all have resources to give and to share and those are different for each of us. By investing in SWAT you are helping college adults understand their influence, middle & high school students live in relationship with Christ, student leaders serve with excellence and youth pastors find refreshment.
